The Youth Party of Iran was established in 1998 and started its political activities. The main pillars of this party are: The Congress, The Central Council, Directorate General, Committees, Studying and Programming Office.
The Congress is the main pillar of the party which is held at least once in two years and includes all of the members of the party. The first Congress of Youth Party was held in 2003 and top Iranian reformist faces participated there. The second and the third Congress of the party have been held in 2004 and 2005. The Congress has the highest role in decision making of the party.
The Central Council is the main executive part of the party. The Central Council includes seven main members and three changeable members who are elected by the Congress for two years. The Central Council is responsible to the Congress for its political programs and activities.
Directorate General is nominated by the Central Council for two years. He or she has the duty of supervision on developments and harmony among different bodies of the party.
Youth Party of Iran has different committees with a specific duty for each of them on different issues. Political Committee, Organizational Committee, Training Committee, Executive and Financial Committee, and finally Communications Committee are the most important committees of the party. Committees are working under the supervision of the Central Council.
Studying and Programming Office is anther important institution in the party which has the duty of suggesting plans and programs for decision makers represented in Central Council. Studying and Programming Office is working under the supervision of Directorate General . |
